< oh, to be an evil genius >

a few days ago, my computer (aka "timmy," for those of you who forget that i name inanimate objects that i'm unnaturally attached to) fell to its deathbed (death computer desk...uh...cubby? vestibule? death designated tower space? oh, whatever.). my poor timmy suddenly took one in the hard drive. i lost everything on that drive that day - my photos, my mp3s (i mean, mp3s? what mp3s? music files are the devil! back, satan!), all my old writing, everything.

the electronic equivalent of his parietal lobe now blown from the lost drive, timmy became unresponsive and panicky, which was clear from the desperate-looking blue screen of death flashing across his monitor. he is in critical, but stable condition and is being worked on.

in the meantime, i'm typing this from my brother's toshiba notebook. it's a good little machine, but it isn't the same. i'm deprived of a keypad for optimum gemstone playing as well as my custom game settings. woe is me.

in other news, my cell phone has been turned off because i'm completely broke, despite being worked like a dog at the store due to a lack of staffers. in a store which could probably skate by with a minimum of a six or seven person staff, management included, we have four. we are in desperate need of openers/closers and the district manager CONTINUES to deny me promotion despite glowing reviews from co-workers past and present, my current manager, and the last two managers.

note to self:

step 1: build giant tesla coil death ray.

step 2: apply death ray to DM's FACE.

step 3: profit.

it gives me great hope to know that the existence of a giant death ray that one can build in one's garage is entirely feasible.
